The Winters Brothers Show went into
production in November of
1994 and was originally titled
"Saturday Night At Ernie's ".
In January of 1995, the first studio program was taped using the
name "The Winters Brothers Show ".
Eleven years and over 300 shows later, the show airs
several times each week on CATV Channel 19. The program is a departure from that southern rock style
the Winters Brothers are famous for. It reveals the versatility
of their musicianship, in an acoustic oriented setting.
Dennis and Donnie
Winters'
music goes back to the mid to late 70's. Their music is of the
Southern Rock style. The Winters Brothers Band tour and
perform with such bands as Charlie Daniels,
Marshall Tucker Band, 38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many more. They also wrote many songs
for Marty Robbins. Their dad, Don Winters, was part of the Marty Robbins
Trio for
23 years. The Winters Brothers have to their
credit, hits like "Smokey Mountain Log Cabin Jones" ,
"Sang her Love Songs" , and "Shotgun Rider".
Dennis and Lynda are also hosts to The Winters Brothers Band Southern Summer Jam at their homeplace in Nolensville, Tennessee each year. The "JAM" is always held on the Saturday before Fathers Day each June.
